In July 2003, I was honored to attend the SMART Teacher forum at the SMART Board headquarters in Calgary, Canada. I was one of among 17 educators selected from around the world to attend this forum.

It was an amazing experience to be able to network with other educators and the staff at SMART. The 3 days of professional development training that we received were invaluable. While I was there, I learned new tips and tricks for integrating my SMART Board into the classroom.

We were treated like kings and queens; the SMART staff are a wonderful group of people. All meals, transportation, and lodging were included in the award. We were entertained at the Calgary Stampede, the Grandstand Show, and the Chuckwagon races!
